Jabra Elite 5 price in India: Denmark-based wearable brand Jabra has announced the launch of its new true wireless earbuds — the Jabra Elite 5 in India with new Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), powered by the Qualcomm QCC3050 Bluetooth chipset.

The Jabra Elite 5 earbuds will be available in two colours, Titanium Black and Gold Beige on the e-commerce Amazon from 10th February 2023 at Rs 14,999.

It comes with new Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), powered by the Qualcomm QCC3050 Bluetooth chipset. The Hybrid ANC uses feedback microphones on the inside of the ear, and feedforward microphones on the outside. The ANC performance is therefore less sensitive to how you position the buds in the ear and it ensures a more reliable noise cancellation across a wider range of frequencies.

In addition, the Jabra Elite 5 enables individuals to take calls with confidence thanks to 6-microphone call technology with external mics that are active all the time, and internal ones giving your voice a helping hand when it’s windy.

When wearing the earbuds, you will experience excellent sound from 6mm speakers and Qualcomm aptX Audio, AAC and SBC codecs. We’ve also teamed up with Spotify to offer users Spotify Tap Playback.

For connectivity, the Jabra Elite 5 earbuds are supported by Bluetooth Multipoint, Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift pair, Google Assistant, and Alexa Built-In activated through voice.

The earbuds get an IP55 rating. You can get up to 28 hours of total playback time (up to 7 hours with ANC enabled). It can charge in 10 minutes to provide a playback time of about an hour. Plus, you can customize EQ settings via the Jabra Sound+ app and use the Spotify Tap playback.

OnePlus launched the new 11 series phones, showcased its first tablet and also had some India-centric launches for the audience. But the company used the event to also talk about its upcoming products, which includes the OnePlus 11 Concept that will be part of the company’s lineup at the Mobile World Congress 2023 (MWC 2023) in Barcelona later this month.

In addition to this, OnePlus finally confirmed its ambitions in the foldable segment, and the company’s teaser showed us what’s to come later this year. OnePlus confirmed that its foldable device will be coming in Q3 2023.

The development more or less confirms the recent leaks which hinted at the names of the OnePlus foldable phones that could be the OnePlus V Fold and the OnePlus V Flip, which basically means you have the Fold version and a Flip version like Samsung and Oppo have shown in the past few years. OnePlus has reportedly filed a trademark for these names. Oppo has launched the Find N2 Fold and Find N2 Flip which could be the main source of product design for OnePlus.

OnePlus making a foldable device hardly comes as a surprise, since its parent company, Oppo has already worked on two-gen devices so far. OnePlus is expected to borrow the design and probably the features from the existing models and add its unique touch wherever possible.

OnePlus will have to plan for a different market focus with its foldables, giving it the chance to compete in a nascent segment. We’ll have to wait for the next few months to hear more about the foldables from the company, which shouldn’t be surprising with OnePlus and its product marketing strategy over the years, where it shows the product and talks about its design in the open building up to the launch.

Zoom Video Communications said on Tuesday it would cut 15% of its workforce, or about 1,300 jobs, and trim base pay for its executive leadership as pandemic-fueled demand for the company’s video conferencing services slows.

Shares of the company rose about 9% on the news, after declining 63% last year.

Announcing the layoffs, Chief Executive Eric Yuan also said that he will take a salary cut of 98% for the coming fiscal year, foregoing his fiscal 2023 corporate bonus.

”We worked tirelessly… but we also made mistakes. We didn’t take as much time as we should have to thoroughly analyze our teams or assess if we were growing sustainably, toward the highest priorities,” the top boss said.

The company, which became a household name during lockdowns due to the popularity of its video-conferencing tools, has seen its revenue growth slow.

Analysts are forecasting Zoom’s revenue to have risen just 6.7% in fiscal 2022 after a more than four-fold jump in revenue and a nine-fold surge in profit increase in 2021. Profit is estimated to have fallen 38% in 2022.

Zoom had bumped up hiring during the pandemic to meet surging demand, but now joins U.S. companies is reining in costs to brace for a potential recession.

A raft of U.S. companies from Goldman Sachs Group Inc to Alphabet Inc have laid off thousands this year to ride out a demand downturn wrought by high inflation and rising interest rates.

The video conferencing software maker also said that its executive leadership team will reduce their base salary by 20% in the same period.

Departing employees will receive 16 weeks of salary, healthcare coverage and annual bonus for the year, Yuan added.

Google Pixel users are getting the latest software update for February 2023. The update is compatible with Pixel phones starting from 4a going up to the latest Pixel 7 and 7 Pro. Google’s release is global, so countries like Canada, US, and India are getting it around the same time.

The update is rolling out gradually so you might have to manually check on your phone if the update has popped up yet or not. Pixel users in India have already started receiving the update and even though it is not a large size file it does carry value in downloading for your device.

The global variant of Pixel phones eligible for this update are getting the software version TQ1A.230205.002, as mentioned in this post by Google. They have also shared a detailed list of the improvements expected by Pixel users after this update.

The February 2023 update includes bug fixes and improvements for Pixel users – see below for details.

Accessibility – Fix for issue preventing touch interaction with Braille keyboard in certain conditions

Audio – Fix for issue occasionally causing instability while Clear Calling is enabled in certain conditions.

Framework – Fix for issue occasionally preventing Work profile calendar information from updating in the background

Pixel users who still use the Pixel 3, 3XL or even the Pixel 3a will not be getting this update as their OS support cycle ended last year.

Interestingly, Pixel 4 is also not on the list, but a new development suggests the company will release its last update via security patch. The update brings the phones to the February 2023 security patch. The Pixel 4 series was launched in 2019 with a commitment to provide three years of software updates, including three major Android updates.

The build numbers for the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4XL are TP1A.221005.002.B2 and TP1A.221005.002.B2 respectively. And, notably, this update doesn’t bring the changes and improvements that were introduced with the Android 13 QPR1 update in December last year.

(Reuters) – Meta Platforms Inc has agreed to resolve a trademark lawsuit brought by blockchain nonprofit Dfinity Foundation over Meta’s infinity-symbol logo, according to a joint filing in San Francisco federal court.

Meta and Dfinity asked the court Monday to dismiss the case with prejudice, which means it cannot be revived.

Representatives for the parties did not immediately respond to requests for more information on Tuesday.

Switzerland-based Dfinity’s Internet Computer is an “infinite” public blockchain network designed to host smart contracts. Dfinity sued Meta last year, alleging the logo Meta adopted after changing its name from Facebook would cause confusion with Dfinity’s infinity-symbol trademarks.

Meta has described its logo as a “continuous loop” that resembles both the letter ‘M’ and an infinity sign to symbolize “infinite horizons in the metaverse.”

U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer dismissed Dfinity’s original complaint in November but allowed the company to amend the lawsuit. Breyer said Meta’s logo was unlikely to cause consumer confusion, citing differences in the logos’ designs and the fact that Dfinity’s customers are “tech-savvy developers.”

Dfinity filed an amended complaint in December.

Meta is still facing trademark lawsuits from virtual-reality company MetaX and investment firm Metacapital over its name change.

The case is Dfinity Foundation v. Meta Platforms Inc, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, No. 3:22-cv-02632.

“Thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.4.3 update, some beta testers are now able to share up to 100 media,” WABetaInfo, a website that tracks WhatsApp, reported.

In order to check if the increased media sharing feature is enabled for your WhatsApp account, simply attempt to select more than 30 media in the media picker within the app. In the case the feature is available, you will finally be able to share up to 100 media otherwise, you need to wait for a future update of the app.

This feature is really useful as users can finally share entire albums by making it easier to share memories and moments with their friends and family. In addition, the new limit helps prevent users from selecting the same photo or video more than once in case they need to send a lot of media files.

The ability to share up to 100 media within your chats is available for some beta testers and it is rolling out to even more people over the coming days.

Meanwhile, WhatsApp has added a slew of new features that it claims can improve the experience of using WhatsApp Status. Status is like Stories on Reels and Snapchat which disappears in 24 hours and you can have video, photo or even text to show other people who are on your WhatsApp contact list.

It is even end-to-end protected which means you can share the Status securely. But the messaging app continues to bring new features for the option and five of them have been officially confirmed by the company this week.

Last week, it was reported that the messaging platform was rolling out longer group subjects and descriptions on Android beta.

While the characters of the group subject have been increased from 25 to 100 to provide group admins more freedom when naming their groups, the group description increased from 512 characters to 2048 characters.

Meta has introduced new comment moderation tools for creators on Facebook, making it easier for them to view moderation statistics and manage conversations.

The company made the announcement on Tuesday from its ‘Meta for Creators’ account on Facebook.

“View what criteria are met for hiding comments with the inline comment preview and criteria tag in the activity log of Moderation Assist,” the company said.

Creators can also now view “moderation statistics”, like the number of comments hidden in the last 30 days, by seeing the insights in the “Moderation Assist’s Activity Log.”

Moreover, creators can now search comments by keywords including emojis, commenter names and date on their posts and “take bulk actions, such as liking or hiding, through Comments Manager in Professional Dashboard,” the company said.

Meanwhile, last month, Meta had announced that it is bringing updates to its ad system, including removing gender as an option for advertisers to reach users under 18 on Facebook and Instagram.

Age and location will be the only information about a teen that the company will use to show them advertisements, which will make sure that teens see ads that are meant for their age and products and services available where they live.

Taiwanese laptop brand MSI on Wednesday launched its all-new laptop line-up equipped with the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series GPUs and up to 13th Gen Intel CoreHX series processors in India.

The new RTX 40 series of laptops will be available in the market by the end of February, starting at a price of Rs 58,990, said the company.

Google is going to make a big change on Search for people looking for images in the coming months. The search giant has confirmed that all the explicit images that show up in a search result will be blurred by default. Explicit images basically refer to any visual that contains gore, pornographic or graphic violence and Google says that Search will not show them in full details very soon.

Google is bringing this option as a part of its Safer Internet Day initiative this week. The company says the idea behind having this by default is to make sure that users of all ages do not encounter explicit images on the internet.

The blur option gets activated by default under the SafeSearch filtering method, and even if you don’t enable it, Google will automatically start blurring these visuals for everyone. Google shared the news about this feature via a blog post earlier this week.

Google continues to bring different safety tools every year, which it claims protects millions of internet users.
